We are Narrabundah Pharmacy, situated in the inner south of Canberra, and we pride ourselves as an independent family-run community pharmacy. We are looking for an intern pharmacist to onboard with us. Our friendly pharmacists, Lauren, Tan and Danielle will provide you with the knowledge, skills and support to guide you through your intern year. Your role at our pharmacy will be varied as our business model is not based on prescription volume but rather, customer care. This position is best suited to interns who do not only seek general registration but to understand the inner workings of running a pharmacy. We are looking for two self-motivated intern pharmacists to join our multi award winning team in 2025 (or end of 2024). We are a suburban community pharmacy in Chisholm, ACT, and our community is our focus. We are the proud winners of the 2023 Capital Chemist of the Year (also 2019 and 2018), the pharmacy category at the 2022 Local Business Awards, the 2021 Australian Small Business Champion Awards (Pharmacy category), the Overall Pharmacy Guild of Australia 2020 Pharmacy of the Year, Winner of the 2020 Pharmacy Guild of Australia Excellence in Business Management Award and we continue to strive to be the best we can.
We generally have 5-6 pharmacists on-duty, including co-owners Rebecca Young and Rachel Rhodes. We enjoy being able to offer interactive and responsive patient care to our community. We have 3 dedicated consultation rooms and a BD Dispensing robot so our team can focus on our patients.
The Capital Chemist group are proud to support our community through health services and supporting local community groups. This pharmacist intern position is heavily involved in screening services, primary health care, supporting health promotion activities, fundraising events and medicine counselling.
The position involves weekday and Saturday work, with a degree of flexibility. We believe work/life balance is important and encourage this!
